Description:Our mission is to manage the Medicaid program to provide the best healthcare value for South Carolinians. Healthy Connections (Medicaid) is South Carolina's grant-in-aid program by which the federal and state governments share the cost of providing medical care for needy persons who have low income. Assistance is provided for Medicaid beneficiaries and service providers. This office will provide assistance in registering for Medicaid benefits, choosing the right plan, finding a local provider, and will help with appeals.

Description:This program helps parents get health insurance for their children through Healthy Connections, the SC Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). To find out if your children qualify and for help applying, call the toll-free number or fill out a form on the website. Trained volunteers can assist with completing applications for Medicaid or CHIP, including certifying original documents.
