Description: | This summer camp is for children who have physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. It is located in Wedgefield, SC. Camp Burnt Gin accepts boys and girls from South Carolina who are 7 through 19 years of age and have a physical disability or chronic illness. The disabilities of the campers may include such conditions as; cerebral palsy, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, hearing impairments, heart disease, sickle cell anemia, seizures, cleft lip and palate, endocrine disorders, amputations, burns, head and spinal cord injuries. Camper applications can be obtained from the camp director, any county health department or Children's Rehabilitative Services Clinic throughout the state of South Carolina. All children must provide a physician's approval and physical exam as a part of their application for camp. |
