Description:The Children's Hospital is located on the 9th floor of Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia. It provides special and unique programs dedicated to children's health and safety. With 144 beds, Children's Hospital is a statewide pediatric referral center. Facilities and services include a neonatal intensive care unit, an emergency center that is open 24 hours/7 days a week, the children's day hospital, an 8-bed intensive care unit, and nineteen specialty outpatient clinics, including; diabetic outreach clinics, cardiac outreach clinics and intensive adolescent outpatient substance abuse program. Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is a major referral center for pediatric cancer patients.
