Description:The Columbia Area Mental Health Center is one of seventeen Community Mental Health Centers in South Carolina operating under the auspices of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health (SCDMH). This center serves as the administrative office for mental health services provided by SCDMH in Fairfield and Richland counties. As part of the service delivery network of the SCDMH, this local office provides or will assist persons in obtaining a variety of mental health services and supports according to their assessed needs. The services they have are: long term treatment for those who have a chronic mental illness, treatment for borderline personality disorder, adult foster care for those who are mentally ill, a hospital liaison program, and mental health court to divert inmates from jail to treatment. There is also centers that have a psychosocial rehabilitation program and provide services to young adults.

Description:Morris Village is a 160-bed inpatient addiction treatment facility of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. It is a specialized hospital licensed by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and accredited by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF). Morris Village provides evaluation, detoxification, crisis stabilization and treatment of chemical dependence. Services include medical care, group therapy, activity therapy, family education and therapy, ropes course, preparation for Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), relapse prevention planning and case management. South Carolina residents over the age of 18 are eligible for admission to Morris Village.

Description:A 277-bed short-term intensive care facility, Bryan serves adult and geriatric patients ages 16 years and older, from 33 counties of South Carolina's Midlands, Low-Country and Pee Dee regions. Description:Substance abuse services. The Colonial Drive location has the inpatient medical detoxification unit, group and individual counseling services for adults and adolescents and medical records. The location also has intervention and treatment services for adults, Project Reconnect, programs for HIV+ individuals and the Clinical Trials Network. LRADAC's programs are accredited by CARF, The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission. LRADAC charges fees for services; however, no one will be denied services due to the inability to pay. If the client is unable to pay the fees, appropriate arrangements may be made to develop a payment plan. LRADAC accepts insurance, Medicaid and self-payment including Mastercard and Visa.

Description:Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) is a nonprofit organization which provides community based services to individuals recovering from mental illness and/or severe emotional problems. Services offered include: counseling, housing and a program called Representative Payee to assist in managing disability benefits. Description:A facility of Prisma Health psychiatric services on the Prisma Health Richland campus. Offers a full continuum of care from inpatient to outpatient treatment for adults 18 or older with psychiatric illnesses or addictions. All Prisma Health adult chemical dependency services are located here. Assessment Center operates from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and serves patients of all ages.
