Description:Mental Health America, formally known as the Mental Health Association, is the oldest mental health advocacy organization in the nation. It is a grassroots, volunteer organization which educates civic groups, churches, the media, elected officials and the public about mental illness. It helps clients navigate the state mental health system and lobbies for sound mental health practices and funding in the S.C General Assembly.
