It promotes awareness and tries to influence public policy. They provide: technical assistance in the development and expansion of resources and services; statistics and references; training and technical assistance to elected officials, law enforcement, health care agencies, social service agencies and other helping agencies; information and consultation to victims and survivors; and legislative and public policy updates.
