Description:Provides short-term respite--time away from caregiving responsibility--for full-time caregivers. Vouchers for up to $500 worth of care is available once a year. Their 24-Hour support line provides information/referral, care consultation, and multi-language help. They also offer safety services and support groups. Description:Family Connection of South Carolina, Inc. is a network of parents working with community professionals to provide parent-to-parent support and assurance to families with children of all ages who have special needs. Programs and services are centered around parent-to-parent networking, a program based in the principal that families with shared experiences are uniquely qualified to help each other. Parents of children with disabilities are matched with Support Parents who have children with similar conditions. These trained veteran Support Parents are an invaluable source of support and encouragement because they have faced similar challenges and celebrations. There are Support Parents in all counties of South Carolina.

Description:Provides homecare services for adults or children suffering from disabilities, chronic illnesses, or disorders or in need of therapies. Services include implementing care plans; coordinating medical equipment, pharmacy, supplies; assisting with mobility or transfers; distributing medications and therapies; personal care, meal preparation and feeding, and more. Also offer companion services: personal assistance, companionship, light housekeeping, escorting to appointments, assisting with pet care, etc. Accepts long term managed care insurance, Medicaid waiver, and private pay.
