Description:Programs for seniors in Saluda County provided by the Saluda County Council on Aging are available through centers located in Saluda and Leesville. Supportive services such as congregate or home-delivered meals, social and recreational activities, transportation assistance, and health screenings help older adults in SC lead independent lives in their own homes and communities. County residents aged 60 (55 for some services) and older may receive services. Description:The senior centers offer a variety of educational, recreational, leisure, and health-related activities. Eligibility for programs at the senior center: individuals 55 years and older (over 60 in some cases). Other services include: case management assistance, visits and calls to homebound persons, light housekeeping for health impaired elderly, transportation for homebound clients to/from doctors appointments, and assist with prescription pick-up. Intake procedure can be done by a visit or a phone call to the center.
