Description:The clinic serves low-income residents of Greenville County who have no medical coverage (that is, no Medicaid, Medicare, or private health insurance). Eligibility is determined by total household income and the number of people in the household. To be screened for assistance, potential patients must bring Social security cards, paycheck stubs, and verification of Greenville County residency. Medical: Doctors and nurse practitioners provide free primary health care and specialist care including dermatology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, preventive gynecology, and minor surgery (scheduled by referral). Pharmacy: Free prescriptions are filled for many chronic and acute illnesses at the onsite pharmacy. Dental: Services limited to dental hygiene (Monday and Wednesday) and extractions and treatment of infection (Tuesday and Thursday). Health education: Health education programs are scheduled at each clinic session.
