Health professionals like chiropractors, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, and others are included. Choose a profession from the list, then hit the Select button. On the following page, enter a name, license number or city, and then hit the Find button. You will get name, address, and license information. Phone numbers are not available.

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
The NCQA is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to improve health care quality everywhere. It is sponsored by both private foundations and corporations. It certifies and accredits health care plans, programs, and providers. This Web site offers information to help you decide which health plan you want to cover you, your family, or your employees.

South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium
This state agency works closely with South Carolina’s state universities and other partners to educate, recruit, and retain health care providers. Their programs aim to encourage young people, especially minorities and the economically disadvantaged, to enter the healthcare professions; to increase the number of physicians serving the rural areas; and to provide educational programs for health care providers at or near their workplace. On this site you will find educational and summer job programs for middle and high school students, undergraduates, and residency training programs for medical graduates. You will also find online courses for health professionals, bioterrorism training, on-line access to medical information resources, and links to all kinds of other health information resources.
