Center for Veterinary Medicine
(Food and Drug Administration)
The FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) regulates all animal drugs and feed, and works to increase the availability of products to sustain the health, relieve the suffering, and increase the productivity of all farm animals. CVM also evaluates the safety and effectiveness of drugs for pets. This site has a broad range of information, some for consumers, some for professionals. Select Animal & Veterinary Topics Index to see the topics covered. Included are biotechnology, genetically engineered plants and animals, aquaculture, food safety, feed contaminants, rabbits, cats, dogs, and more. You can also search the Animal Drugs @ FDA to learn about all animal drug products that have been approved for safety and effectiveness.
