Ciguatera is one of the top four annually reported seafoodborne illnesses. This article from the Clemson Extension Home and Garden Center tells you about this type of food poisoning. Ciguatera is primarily found in fish found in tropical waters, but a recent case in South Carolina came from a fish caught off the South Carolina coast.
