Hazardous Waste Resource Center
(The Environmental Technology Council)
This site is sponsored by a trade association of commercial environmental firms that recycle, treat and dispose of industrial and hazardous wastes; and firms involved in cleanup of contaminated sites. Their goal is the development of technology-based environmental solutions to the management and treatment of hazardous waste to better protect human health and the environment. This page teaches the public about hazardous wastes such as chemicals produced by manufacturing processes, how it is treated, and the laws regarding its treatment. They use non-scientific language and the information is easy to follow.
