Description: | A program established by the Medical University of South Carolina, Anchors Away is a nonprofit outdoor educational and recreation program for individuals living with disabilities. PTRC provides services in Berkeley, Dorchester & Charleston Counties. Services Include: Free Lending Library, Annual Conference, Quarterly Newsletter, Training Workshops, Peer-Parent Mentor Program for Special Education Advocacy, Satellite Locations, and Information & Referral. The Family Resource Center is funded through grants, donations, fundraisers, and community support. The Family Resource Center is a non-profit corporation. The FRC library contains topics related to specific disabilities, self-advocacy issues, current therapies, and special education. Many resources are available in Spanish. |
